What is defect leakage? any one answer my question.

Hi,

Defects which are found in production and missed during system test is called Defect Leakage.

I think there is a metric to measure the defect leakage. A matrix is built to deal with leakage.

Reasons for leakage are gathered, analyzed and action plans are set to overcome them in future.

There are some defects but during testing, we are unable to find out that but end user only getting that, then it is called defect leakage.

Defect Leakage: Total Number of Defects rejected/reopened by client after delivery.
